Wordfence 5.2.9 Released with Options Export and Import

Wordfence 5.2.9 was released last night with a much-requested feature: You can now export your Wordfence settings and re-import them on another site or on multiple sites. It’s incredibly easy. You’ll find the export options at the bottom of the Wordfence options page.

  1. Just hit the export button and we give you a long piece of text which is a token.
  2. Paste that text into the import field on a site where you want to import your settings.
  3. Hit “Import”.
  4. Viola! Your settings have been imported.

You can import those settings on as many sites as you’d like.

This will make administering multiple WordPress sites using Wordfence much easier for developers and hosting providers. We’ve also included an API call if you’re a developer that lets you import the settings.

As with all our options, this feature is fully documented on our wiki which you can find at docs.wordfence.com.
