If you need help with Wordfence:

  1. First make sure you’re running the newest version of Wordfence. You can always find the newest version by clicking here.
  2. Then please read our documentation pages.
  3. Pay special attention to our Frequently Asked Questions section.
  4. If you’re still stuck, please post here if you are a free user. If you are a paid member, you are welcome to also post here, but we recommend you use our Contact Form for priority report.
  5. If the Wordfence team ask you to send them your activity log, please read the instructions here on how to do this if you’re unsure.

Once again, it’s very important that you’re running the newest version of Wordfence because you may be reporting a problem we have already fixed.

Regards,

Mark Maunder – Wordfence Founder.

Hi,

Installed your plugin today and ran a scan, but ran into the following error message after this point in the run:

[Oct 22 10:50:13:1350917413.871178:1:info] Contacting Wordfence to initiate scan
[Oct 22 10:47:10:1350917230.800671:2:error] Scan terminated with error: We received an error response when trying to contact the Wordfence scanning servers. The HTTP status code was [0] and the error from CURL was couldn’t connect to host

Can you tell me where the problem is — with our site or with Wordfence? If it’s with our site, what might we do to address the issue to enable scan completion?

Not sure if you can access our Activity Report this way, but here’s a link to it:
Activity Report

Thanks for your assistance.

Hi Lauren,

Please don’t share that activity report with anyone public. The link doesn’t work for security reasons.

It sounds like your server has some network issues. Please contact your systems admin.

Regards,

Mark.
