Bookly 23.2 - 28.2 - Authenticated (Bookly Administrator+) PHP Object Injection

7.5
Deserialization of Untrusted Data
CVE CVE-2026-86841
CVSS 7.5 (High)
Publicly Published September 25, 2026
Last Updated September 30, 2026
Researcher Muni Nitish Kumar Yaddala

Description

The Bookly plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in versions 23.2 through 28.2. This is due to deserialization of untrusted input. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with bookly administrator-level access and above, to inject a PHP Object. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it could allow the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.
