4.4
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
CVE CVE-2023-1649
CVSS 4.4 (Medium)
Publicly Published April 12, 2023
Last Updated January 22, 2024
Researcher Erwan LR - WPScan

Description

The AI ChatBot plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via admin settings in versions up to, and including, 4.4.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level permissions and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
