Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
CVSS 6.1 (Medium)
Publicly Published July 24, 2019
Last Updated January 30, 2023

Description

The Contact Form 7 Dynamic Text Extension plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘key’ parameter in versions before 2.0.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
