HTTP Headers <= 1.19.4 - Authenticated (Administrator+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'Custom Headers' Plugin Setting

4.4
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
CVE CVE-2026-1379
CVSS 4.4 (Medium)
Publicly Published April 21, 2026
Last Updated July 9, 2026
Researcher Daniel Basta (whizzu)

Description

The HTTP Headers plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via admin settings in all versions up to, and including, 1.19.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level permissions and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
