URL Redirection to Untrusted Site ('Open Redirect')
CVE CVE-2023-0552
CVSS 6.1 (Medium)
Publicly Published February 6, 2023
Last Updated January 22, 2024
Researcher Omar Amin

Description

The Pie Register plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Open Redirect via the 'redirect_to' parameter in versions up to, and including, 3.8.2.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to redirect users to an external site, if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
