WP Search Analytics <= 1.4.7 - Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via 'render_stats_page'

Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
CVE CVE-2023-30471
CVSS 6.1 (Medium)
Publicly Published August 28, 2023
Last Updated September 4, 2023
Researcher LEE SE HYOUNG (hackintoanetwork)

The WP Search Analytics plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘render_stats_page' function in versions up to, and including, 1.4.7 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. NOTE: Version 1.4.7 contains an incomplete fix for this vulnerability.
