Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')
CVE CVE-2023-33209
CVSS 8.8 (High)
Publicly Published May 18, 2023
Last Updated August 8, 2023
Researcher Nithissh S

Description

The SEO Change Monitor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection in versions up to, and including, 1.2 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query in the cscm_edit_list_of_urls_tbl function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
