Seraphinite Accelerator <= 2.20.28 - Arbitrary Redirect via 'redir'

URL Redirection to Untrusted Site ('Open Redirect')
CVE CVE-2023-5610
CVSS 5.4 (Medium)
Publicly Published October 27, 2023
Last Updated October 29, 2023
Researcher Erwan LR - WPScan

The Seraphinite Accelerator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Open Redirect in all versions up to, and including, 2.20.28. This is due to insufficient validation on the redirect url supplied via the 'redir' parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to redirect users to potentially malicious sites if they can successfully trick them into performing an action.
