Shared Files Pro < 1.7.68 & Shared Files Free < 1.7.67 - Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Deletion

9.1
Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')
CVE CVE-2026-12513
CVSS 9.1 (Critical)
Publicly Published August 28, 2026
Last Updated September 22, 2026
Researcher Huynh Kien Minh - FPT University

Description

The Shared Files (Free and Pro) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in all versions up to 1.7.68 (exclusive - pro) and 1.7.67 (free - pro). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
