7.2
Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')
CVE CVE-2023-5674
CVSS 7.2 (High)
Publicly Published November 20, 2023
Last Updated February 6, 2024
Researcher dc11

Description

The WP Mail Log plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the ‘id’ parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.2 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for contributor and higher users to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
