8.1
Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal')
CVE CVE-2026-95525
CVSS 8.1 (High)
Publicly Published September 23, 2026
Last Updated September 30, 2026
Researcher Ananda Dhakal

Description

The User Frontend – Membership, User Registration, User Profile, User Directory & Content Restriction with Frontend Post Submission plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the [function_or_param] function in all versions up to, and including, 4.3.11. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
